Vibe Ops

Infrastructure by vibes. Self-hosted everything. No tests, just deploys.

Vibe Coding: A Manifesto

What Is Vibe Coding?

Vibe coding is writing software by feel. It is pairing with AI, trusting your instincts, and shipping before you have documented everything. It is the opposite of analysis paralysis.

Some people call it reckless. I call it efficient.

The Old Way

The traditional approach: plan everything, write specs, get approval, write tests first, implement, code review, QA, deploy to staging, test again, then maybe production in six weeks.

That works for banks and rockets. For a homelab? For a side project? For learning something new? It is friction that kills momentum.

The Vibe Way

  1. Have an idea
  2. Ask an AI to help you build it
  3. Iterate until it works
  4. Deploy
  5. Fix things when they break
  6. Repeat

The magic is in step 3. Modern AI can catch your bugs, suggest improvements, and write the boring parts while you focus on the interesting bits. You are not coding alone anymore.

When Vibe Coding Works

  • Personal projects
  • Prototypes
  • Homelab infrastructure
  • Learning new technologies
  • Anything where shipping beats perfection

When It Does Not

  • Production systems handling money
  • Healthcare applications
  • Anything where bugs hurt people
  • Code that other people have to maintain without you

Know the difference. Vibes are for velocity. Some things need rigor.

Try It

Next time you want to build something, skip the planning phase. Open a terminal, start a conversation with an AI, and see where it takes you. The worst case is you learn something. The best case is you ship something.

Trust the vibes.
